Our flat bottom neodymium magnetic systems consist of a steel cup containing a neodymium magnet inside, covered by a resin top-layer.
This line of magnets has been specially designed in collaboration with some clients for specific mounting needs.
The various models are suitable for gluing to smooth surfaces (plastic, glass, etc.) or pressure-setting into different housings (wood panels, etc.).
They are available with various types of resin coatings, both perimetral and total.
The steel cup amplifies the magnetic field by focusing it on the free surface of the magnet. This allows these products to generate a much greater adhesive force than simple neodymium magnets.
In addition, the cup itself provides the magnet with additional protection against shocks and structural resistance overall.
The following is a brief overview of the different series with their main features:
SM15: totally smooth, with transparent resin coating on top, ideal for gluing;
SM16: with gouge to increase grip in the seat and resin ring around the perimeter;
SM21: with central groove and total black resin coating;
SM25: rectangular - with a countersunk hole and black resin, ideal for magnetic closures.
On request, it is possible to customize the magnets of each series with different characteristics: higher degree of magnetization (from N35 to N52), higher operating temperature (from 80 °C to 180 °C), different coatings for cup and magnet (from standard nickel to zinc or black epoxy).
