Rubber magnets, also known as plastoferrite or Plastoflex, are one of the most popular magnetic materials today.
They consist of a flexible compound made from rubber polymers and ferrite powder, which is then magnetized and shaped by extrusion or calendering, which permits the manufacturing of magnets with different shapes and thicknesses..
The main differences for this material are in the type of magnetization chosen:
ISOTROPIC Plastoferrite: coded by us as Plastoflex X5, it is a plastoferrite produced by extrusion in which the magnetic crystals are not oriented during the production of the profile. This leads to an absence of preferential direction for the subsequent magnetization, it is in fact possible to create different magnetizations but they are always weaker than anisotropic plastoferrite.
ANISOTROPIC Plastoferrite: coded by us as Plastoflex X14, it is a plastoferrite that can be produced by injection, moulding, calendering, etc. The crystals of this material are oriented during the production phase, allowing a much greater attraction force to be released, at the expense of a higher cost.
It is possible to create different magnetizations: axial, biaxial or multipolar. Below you can select the category of plastoferrite best suited to your needs. We offer various configurations for both types: neutral, with adhesive, with colored PVC. The standard magnetization is multi-pole on one face, with the possibility of customized requests.
